Schools

Linked to the curriculum and Arts Award, the education programme will enable local schools and community groups to incorporate the much loved character and stories of Elmer in to lessons and extra-curricular activities, dealing with topics such as loss, making memories and diversity.

As part of the programme, 25 Young Elmers will be created by local children to form an education trail at Mount Edgcumbe as part of the wider Elmer’s Big Parade for 11 weeks in the summer of 2019. At the end of the trail the Young Elmers will be adopted by the schools and community groups involved as a lasting legacy of the project.
