Find Elmer Sculptures

Select TRAIL, then MAP to view the sculpture locations. Find and locate the sculptures by pinching and swiping the map to zoom in and out. To see your location on the map turn your locations services ON. Click on the map markers to display the sculpture name, double click the marker to go to the sculpture screen and discover more about the artist and design.

Unlock Elmer Sculptures

On the Elmer sculpture screen, enter the four digit code found on the plaque and click UNLOCK to reveal the design in full colour and your Elmer discovery will be added to your STATS. In a hurry? Select TOTAL (lock icon) at the top and enter the four digit code to unlock any Elmer. Plus, you can VOTE for your favourite design and TWEET that you’ve unlocked an Elmer!

Unlock Rewards

Unlock Elmer sculptures and see which have a hidden reward – with Milestone Messages and Sponsor Surprises. Select REWARDS to view all the Milestones and Sponsor Surprises. Milestones are represented with a yellow star and Sponsor Surprises with a green star. Can you unlock them all?

Unlock National Rewards

Visit two or more Elmer trails in 2019 and you’ll unlock National Rewards. National Rewards give Elmer superfans the chance to pick up some exclusive Elmer goodies courtesy of Wild in Art and Andersen Press. Find out more at: www.elmersbigartparades.co.uk/national-rewards

Can you unlock all 40 large Elmer sculptures and 25 young Elmers across Plymouth? Select TRAIL, then STATS to view your trail progress. See how many rewards you’ve unlocked and what percentage of the trail you’ve completed. Plus, you can see the most voted and most unlocked Elmers.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m having a few problems with the app generally.

Check you’re connected to the internet, either WiFi or a mobile network. Make sure you have the latest update installed on your device. Close the app completely and re-open it (or restart your device). Finally, review the app permissions and ensure everything is checked.

I’m having problems signing in.

Fill in your email and age and you should go to the Contact Preferences and Terms and Conditions screen. Make sure you read and agree to the Terms and Conditions to continue.

How do I find the sculptures?

Select TRAIL, then MAP to use the map, pinch and swipe the map to zoom in and out. Location settings need to be turned ON to see your location on the map. You can also select THE  HERD or LITTLE HERD and SEARCH the name, artist or location.

How do I unlock a sculpture?

There is a four digit code found on the sculpture plaque. Either click TOTAL (lock icon) at the top of the screen or go to the Elmer screen, enter the four digit code and click UNLOCK.

How do I add a photo to the App Gallery?

On the Elmer screen scroll down to GALLERY select UPLOAD. You will be asked to either ‘Take a photo’ or ‘Choose from library’. Images uploaded will be reviewed by the team prior to being published on the app. Your photo will be seen by other app players and maybe shared on social media – so get creative!

Incorrect codes

If you’ve already unlocked an Elmer the app will display an error message letting you know you’ve already unlocked that sculpture. Check THE HERD and LITTLE HERD listing pages to see if you have already unlocked it. If not, it could be an error we need to fix – gulps! So please let us know the code and Elmer by emailing: ecouch@stlukes-hospice.org.uk

Do I need to fill in all the sign up fields?

No. You only need to fill in your email and age. We ask if you’re 16 or over to determine if we can offer you the option to sign up to our newsletters. Your name, postcode, group size, sculptures and rewards data will be anonymised and used for event evaluation purposes only. If you do not wish your anonymised app data to be used for event evaluation purposes you can opt out in writing to marketing@wildinart.co.uk and ecouch@stlukes-hospice.org.uk
